Reporting to Head of Corporate Life and Pension, the Business Development Manager will be responsible forbringing New business from large/Medium corporate customers in the market and to ensure retention and growthof the direct portfolio and improvements in the service level. The Business Development Manager will work directlywith the customers ‘organization and steers business and customer loyalty by engaging experts in variousterritories within Zurich across both risk and savings proposition. Identify and liaise with business units tocommunicate cross-sell opportunities and support central activities that benefi t portfolio and market position.

Job Accountabilities

As Business Development Manager, your role will involve:

Meets the annual fi nancial and operational targets by bringing in new clients across risk and savingsproposition. In addition, bring in affi nity partnerships where corporate solutions can be off ered.

Work with Propositions to improve/ design corporate solutions based on feedback/ need identifi ed from themarket.

Builds and maintains a strong understanding, working and trust-based relationship with each customer inthe own portfolio.

Fully engage in new business tenders and presentations as required.

Develops and nurtures relationships with key customer contacts at customers´ selected broker and otherZurich touch points.

Identifi es, analyzes and secures business development opportunities across all Zurich businesses.

Fully adheres to the standard sales approaches, tools, and adopts agreed format for pipeline management.

Acts as the customer´s single point of entry into the Zurich organization; takes the overall responsibility forthe customer within Zurich, escalating their issues as required; and facilitating relationships with other Zurichsubject matter experts.

Establishes a consistent view of the customer across all Zurich businesses and institutionalizes customerrelationships at all appropriate functions, levels and territories.

Maintains oversight of service delivery to the customer to ensure service expectations are fulfi lled; takesactions to enforce/reinforce customer focus across teams.

Regular update of customer strategies and plans.

Adoption of core stewardship process.

Develops and maintains up-to-date Whole Account View documentation.

Maintains data integrity within relevant systems.

Provides input and actively contributes to the enhancement of Zurich products and services.

Perform general clerical services to underwriters and underwriting support staff in the processing of alltransactions, using established procedures and standard software.

Liaise with internal clients in order to exchange information, clarify facts, and resolve queries and/orproblems.

Job Qualifi cations

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the underwriting, claims adjudication, accountmanagement and employer/employee communications area in employee benefi ts solutions

Strong project and process management skill

With market facing client management/ business development experience

Understanding of Advisor needs, value chains, and business drivers

Strong understanding of data driven analytics

Experience performance guarantees of assigned clients

Ability to help clients/Advisors understand the need of data interfaces and reporting outcomes

Strong understanding of regulatory environment
